If you host recurring events like weekly services, classes, or regular meetings, you know how tedious it can be to update the QR codes and links in your presentation slides, printed posters, or bulletins every single time.

That’s where Pinned Sessions come in. Instead of updating your materials for every event, you can use a stable access link (your_instance_name.spf.io/z) and a stable QR code that never needs to be changed. By default, this single link will automatically route your audience to the newest session you create, saving you time and keeping your materials evergreen.

1. Grab Your QR Code

Since your permanent link is already set up and defaults to your latest session, you just need to grab your QR code to start sharing:

  • Download the QR Code: Go to list Sessions. Click the QR code icon near the search bar. Click Download to get a high-resolution QR code. Place this permanently on your physical or digital materials.
  • Share the Link: As a reminder, you can also share your text-based shortcut URL (your_instance_name.spf.io/z) alongside the QR code.

Note: Once attendees scan the code with their smartphone camera or click the URL, they will immediately enter the Audience View.

2. Control Where the Link Goes (Pinning)

How does your permanent link know which session to open? It relies on the small Pin icon located next to your session titles.

  • 🔵 Dynamic: Auto-update to the newest session (Blue Pin): By default, the system uses a blue pin setting. This means your permanent link will automatically update to route attendees to the newest session you create. You don’t need to do anything—perfect for standard weekly events.
  • 🟢 Static: Lock to a specific session (Green Pin): If you pre-create multiple sessions for different times in one day (e.g., a 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM service), you can manually lock the link. Click the pin icon on the active session once so it turns green. Your permanent link will now route everyone strictly to that session.

Quick Fix: Is your link pointing to an old session by mistake? Check your Sessions list for an active Green Pin. Double-click it to turn it back to Blue, which will immediately restore the default routing to your latest session.
