Did you catch our special announcement during the Rock Mobile Keynote at RX24?
Jon Edmiston, CEO of Spark Development Network, revealed that Spf.io now integrates seamlessly with the Rock Mobile app! Whether your church uses Rock Mobile or a custom app, you can now easily incorporate live captions and translations into your worship services and events.
Edmiston shared:
“[Spf.io] has expertise in live event translation…That service is amazing…So if you think that this might be of interest, it’s a great addition you can just put right into your Rock Mobile app. It’s just a web embed, you can just put it right there and it’s a pretty cool thing.”
This integration increases engagement for church attendees with disabilities and diverse language needs.

Including the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, blind, and non-English speakers
We setup a simple demo so people could experience the vision of making their church accessible and multilingual. By speaking into an iPad and listening on their phones, people could talk freely and hear themselves in Hindi, Spanish, Indonesian, Ukrainian and many other languages. Captions and translations into several languages were also displayed on a nearby laptop.
People loved seeing firsthand how our tools could transform their worship experiences.
After translating the Rock Product Keynote, we customized our AI tools to make it more accurate for the next talk, adding key terminology like “Rock” so that it would pass through in other languages like Spanish instead of being translated.
There were many “Ahah!” moments when people listened to AI interpretation with our text-to-speech technology. Reading real-time captions and translations on projectors, mobile devices, or on a website or app has always been possible, but listening can capture people’s attention in a deeper and more engaging way.
As a fun taste of the possible future, we also demo’ed XR (eXtended reality) glasses where people could see a speaker and read the live captions through the glasses!
We were delighted to see so many people express a growing interest in better serving the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, blind, and non-English speakers in their communities by visiting our booth and experiencing what’s possible.
RX24 Highlights: Here’s what people said about spf.io
Here’s what some people had to say after trying things out.
Mike Cantrell, CEO of Powered by Text, was particularly excited about using spf.io to communicate with his staff in India. After testing our text-to-speech feature to translate his speech from English to Hindi, he enthusiastically exclaimed, “That’s awesome!”
Savannah Haggins and her team from Hillside Christian Church were impressed by the speed and accuracy of our live audio and captions. Another visitor who saw spf.io in action during the keynote described it as “super slick” and praised its responsiveness.
You can watch people’s reactions for yourself in the RX24 highlight video we put together:
