How to release your document as interactive rich text captions

You can release your documents as interactive rich text captions—complete with headings and bold or italic text. This ensures your captions and translations are more readable and engaging to your audience. Links in your documents can also appear and are clickable, allowing your audience to take immediate action like registering for events or sending donations.

Follow the steps below on how to release your manuscript or document to the audience:
Step 1: Go to your session and click Control as Operator.

Step 2: Click Documents and select the document you want to release as captions and translations to the audience. Tip 💡: If you have multiple documents or files you want to use in a session, you can add them to a playlist. The documents you add to the playlist will automatically appear in your document list. You can also use your playlist multiple times for other sessions. Follow the guide on how to create a playlist here.

Step 3: Select the correct source language and release the document line by line.

And yes, they can still select the transcription and share it on their social media.

Can I edit the document directly within the captioner?

As an operator, you can edit the document directly within the captioner. You can copy and paste headings and bold or italic text from another document into the document you want to release. You can also directly style the text to bold (press Ctrl+B or Cmd+B) or italic (press Ctrl+I or Cmd+I). Once you’re done editing, you can release it line by line.

Can I copy and paste a link to the document before I release it?

Yes, you can copy and paste a link to the document before releasing it but it won’t be clickable. Your audience must copy the link and paste it into their browser.
